It's already the end of November! Apologies for leaving this space unattended. I have been busy with my work, surprisingly I fit in the new work environment quite well. Time passed so quickly! It's time for another Monthly Favourites!
For the month of November, I have been using ChicKissLove quite a bit since it often has sales and I get established blogshop apparels at a much cheaper price. I got a TheClosetLover pants at only $13.50, felt like i scored on it. Also, BLACK FRIDAY just passed and I got a couple of apparels from different webstores.
Also, I managed to attend CKL's Style Wars I last weekend and bagged home a few great deals (Tops and bottoms were 10 SGD, and dresses/outerwears were 15 SGD). Glad I had won VIP Pass so I could lay my fingers on the clothes, I was eyeing on some while the CKL staff were pushing in the clothes filled rack #KiaSuModeOn . It was my first time attending a blogshop warehouse sales (the only warehouse sale I go to is sports warehouse sales) and I felt like sharing some tips if you were to ever attend one.
Pre-event: Measure and note the dimension of each piece of apparel that fit you best (PTP, STS, Chest, Waist, Length etc), you will need to refer to this during the event.
1. Use a Sling Bag/Crossbody
So both hands of yours can do their work, rummaging through the racks and picking the clothes out quickly.
2. Pick, then shortlist
Go all out and pick clothes that you like even if it meant exceeding your budget, then proceed to a corner and shortlist the clothes that can fit you and you MUST HAVE. The ones that you don't want, return them to the racks. Simple isn't it?
3. Bring a measuring tape
So you can measure if the clothes fit you, check against the measurement list that you made before the event.
4. Bring an umbrella
Singapore weather is bipolar, so bring one to tackle wet and super hot weathers while making your way to the sale/back home.
I have been shopping on Shopping-District.net and I recently bought a new eye shadow palette, powder blush and an eyebrow kit and I must say I am happy with my purchase! You can get quite a variety of US/UK drugstore/established cosmetic brands from their webstore!
Revolution Iconic 3 Palette. It's supposedly a Naked3 dupe, and I would say the color pay-off is quite good. Never owned and never will own a Naked1/2/3 so I can't compare, but I am sure you can search up the reviews online. It also comes in Iconic 1 and 2 but unfortunately sold out. Definitely love this more than BeautyUK palette.
Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit in Medium/02. Finally something for my brows and fits me because I just might stick to having brown tones to my hair. Love how it comes with all the mini tools, just EVERYTHING-in-1 set, ready to go.
Jordana Powder Blush in Coral Sandy Beach (38). It's less intense compared to my previous powder blush, and this has gold shimmer so I think it gives that very beach feel kind of glow (aka HEALTHY GLOW).
Almost burst my dataplan for first half of this month (my bill is always mid-month), so I decided to download some free books on Google Play Books over wifi at home and read them offline while I am on the go. I get a good form of entertainment and ever since I got my Asus Zenfone, it was a good time to put the big screen to good use and I have reading mode to make my screen less glaring for comfortable reading.
I started with Rachelle Ann Nune's <This Time Forever> (this book is free) and <Bridge to Forever> ($4.95) and I'm currently reading <Twice in a Lifetime> ($4.95). I am intending to purchase one last one from this author <Where I Belong>. All these books are some how linked and certain books focus on the life of a particular character. Bridge to Forever is a direct continuation of This Time Forever, and Where I Belong supposedly to be after Bridge to Forever, but I got on the other related book. It's of light, clean, healthy romance, teaching about relationships (good and bad) in life, about growing up, treating people right.
Sharing some of my favourite apps on my Zenfone this month.
01. Google Play Books (as explained earlier)
02. Pixlr Express
If you have noticed, I started to put white borders around my instagram photos, the first app I used was bad, and I can't remember the name of it anymore (not worth remembering), it reduces my photo quality whenever the white border is added and the thickness of the border is not that nice and fixed. Recently chanced upon Pixlr Express and under borders, it has "SQUARED", I am using WhiteThin option for my borders. So, no secrets behind my InstaPhotos.

October is ending! Thought of sharing some products that I've been loving and have been reaching for lately. Just realised they are all Drugstore products, yay to easy purchasing. Also, I want to say this a genuine sharing of products I truly love.
01. BIOESSENCE Sleeping Beauty Mask
The BEST sleeping mask/moisturiser I have ever used. Not kidding at all! I have emptied out the entire tub of blue goodness in just 2-3 months. When I first wrote a review that was when I first started using it. & yesterday I have finished using it, I scrap all the remaining product that could be left in the tub to use it to the FULLEST.
What I love about it: NON-STICKINESS & EASY APPLICATION
Don't you hate it when you have something sticky on your face? If you are like me, then I would recommend this sleeping mask. Much better than Laneige's (I have used it before, and I dislike the sticky feeling). & also even better than Loreal's Mask-in Lotion (which I started using last night, it has this slight sticky after feel, product didn't claim to be non-sticky so I cannot complain).
This you get 2 products in 1: MOISTURISER + SLEEPING MASK. Love how it spreads on my skin very easily and it turns just a bit watery after application which cools my skin down. In short, YOU JUST HAVE TO TRY IT!
02. BIOESSENCE Sunscreen Moisturising Cream SPF56
I have finally found my HOLY GRAIL sunscreen! One that moisturises without whitening my face. It also smells really good and "atas" (aiya you know how quality products smell). This doesn't whiten my skin, but BRIGHTENS it up. Doesn't really have that very sticky feeling, it could feel a little sticky at first, but after a while the stickiness goes away. Wait till I start using the highly raved NOV's sunscreen and do a comparison of which I prefer more.
03. HIMALAYA Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub
Love this bomb! I use it twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays are my exfoliating days), I wouldn't say it does everything it claims (eg. like clearing blackheads), but I would say it help clear out most of my whiteheads and my dead skin cells. I could feel my skin softer after each time I use it and it doesn't dries out my skin at all. & BAM! this bomb smells AWESOME, like a Nutty Banana Milkshake. I prefer my exfoliating product to have some slight gentle abrasion to really deep cleanse it. My brother loves it too!
04. ESSENTIAL Damage Care Hair Serum
I cannot leave the house without applying this on. Actually, some days I bring this out in my bag too. Because my hair frizzes very easily, especially in air-conditioned areas where the air sucks and drains all the moisture from my poor hair. Smells great, works great, a handy hair tamer!
05. SILKYGIRL Roll-On Perfume Concentrate in Bulgarian Rose
Slightly into scents this month. I actually received this a couple of months back, but didn't have interest in it then. It actually smells quite nice not overpowering. Just a light scent of rosiness. It is a Roll-on perfume so it makes application on-the-go pretty easy too!
I guess that's all from me today. I believe you can easily grab these products from Watsons/Guardian/Major Supermarts. I am still on the hunt for my holy grail facial cleanser. Any recommendations?
