2015 Resolutions

January 1, 2015

Let's look back for a moment to see what I have managed to achieve in 2014. For 2014, I had 5 things on my resolution list:
01. Pick up a new language Yes, I did. I completed the entire Basic Level (4 Levels in total) of korean.
02. Learn Baking - Uhhh, maybe leave it till I'm Brisbane, fellow housemate can bake.
03. Save more money - Ooops, i think I overspent. *blames mind for Impulse buys*
04. Have a better temper - Still as angsty as always. But I am nice to people who deserves it okay.
05. Lose some extra pounds I did, about 2-2.5kg.
So for the new year, 2015, here are my resolutions:

01. Be nice to people, especially my housemates/homies
As chinese saying goes "在家靠父母出门靠朋友". I promise to not argue, but to talk nicely to one another, no overnight grudges if there ever be disagreements (choy! okay). Learn from each other and grow to become a better person. Appreciate each other's effort. House of MAWA, we can do it!

02. Study hard & manage my time wisely
Transitioning to an undergraduate student in 1 month and 1 week's time. I have to be independent, this time for real, without my parents, sibling, but only my friends. I have to drill myself to continue taking pride in my work and be hardworking and to not procrastinate. I think I can do it with my homies support.

03. Learn to budget my expenditures
Being on scholarship doesn't mean I am sponsored for everything. It means giving me the opportunity to experience budgeting my expenditures since I only have that fixed amount of stipend. Well, I guess that means more financial knowledge and control over my own finances. Part of becoming a young adult, and I mean handling adult matters.

04. Maintain my body weight
Maintaining is more difficult than losing weight. I did gain back a teeny bit of weight, must be festive feasting effect. So this month, before I fly I shall try to shed it off and to maintain it while I'm in Brisbane.

05. To blog more
Only if University assignments don't drown me. I'll try my best to keep my family and friends updated about my life in Brisbane through this tiny little space I have. Will blog about life with my housemates, food experiences and school encounters etc.
As usual, only 5 on the list so I don't stray too far.

Hope everyone had a great night counting down and embracing a new year. It's a new start, give yourself a chance to outdo and better yourself as a person in this new year! We all grow through experiences, be it good or bad.

Till the next time, bye. Got to start tidying my room and picking things out for Brisbane.
