Eczema.

November 23, 2013

Finally the worst of all still did came to me. First episode of eczema started back when I was still in Sec 4. Which could be due to stress and all. But I insisted that it was only rash and sensitive skin all this while, cause my condition was special, different from usual people with eczema, and probably a luckier me. I have late onset or adult eczema and its pretty localised just on some areas.

So on and off for many years I have bad rashes that don't go away, broken skin and what not. I still did not want to classify myself as an eczema patient. So until 2 weeks ago, something really big happened. My skin got really dry and broken, sometimes even bleeding. & I also had hives just so suddenly. Hives are like rashes that ITCH ALOT and you feel like you're on fire.

So now I'm now on oral and application medication... and experiencing the side effects - FLAKING SKIN.
No matter how much moisturiser and how often I use it, my skin still dries up and flake. (Yea, in a way like christmas came early for me, haha). Especially my cheek area which have all gone RED, super red like sunburn with my entire face flaking :(

Now I just have to wait for my body to calm down, and have my 'almost flawless' skin back. Previously I have almost good skin, just some scarring from past pimple/acne and thats all. Now it's like total opposite. That's why, people, SPEND ON SKINCARE, not MAKEUP. Makeup only compliments good skin. Makeup on bad skin = POISON. So, I feel all girls should prioritise skin care instead of make up. Only when you can attain good skin, make up does it job well and easy. & then you don't have to worry about going bare-faced.

& to some people out there, please do not give weird stares at people with skin condition. Speaking on behalf of people with skin conditions, WE ARE BORN WITH IT, WE DID NOT ASK FOR IT. It's already bad for us, and it's already a complex for us. So please try to understand us. & Eczema is NOT CONTAGIOUS. It's inherited.

  1. Hi ~ Sorry for the late reply and thanks for visiting my blog ! :)
I have a few friends who suffers from eczema too and some annoying schoolmates in my school makes fun of them. Those people who make fun of them are such nasty people, eww.
There was once I experienced lots of mosquito bite-like rashes all over my arms and legs and it was itching really badly and till today I don't know what of rashes that is XD I also agree with you that girls should pay more attention to skincare rather than make up. I only have one foundation, one eyeliner, one mascara and a concealer and I only wear them on important occasions. Normally I only put on toner, moisturizer, pore minimiser and sunscreen ^^ With good skin, you can save money from buying soooo much makeup and you can even go out without makeup ^^ Plus it's so hard to remove makeup thoroughly.

And regarding to your comment in my previous post, I'm glad you agree with me ^^ And I forgot I didn't add in the part where wearing slippers and dress is alright if you're at a chalet or vacation by the beach etc haha. I also wore slippers with a dress when I went downstairs after reaching home from a concert. :P

    1. True that. Yea, I feel bad for those who have full blown eczema from young. I'm just plain lazy to put on make up. Skincare is so much easier, just smack the cream/lotion on evenly and wait for each to get really absorbed and off i go. Make up is waste of my time hahas.

But sometimes when i go to sch, i will just wear my slippers with my dress, cause i often had to use the sch gym and slipper is handy when i need to shower & head for class :3
