I got what they meant.

Now I really do understand why adults say they miss studying. Cause Work Life is bloody hectic and very routine.

Tomorrow is my 5th week at work. I have 15 weeks in total. I'm pretty much satisfied with the workplace, colleagues etc. But I have come to the conclusion that Research IS NOT MY THING. I prefer being in the front line and dealing with patients and not the behind the scenes work of proving or finding out if something is true or not.

Work wise, physically and mentally challenging. Have to wake up very early, sometimes even earlier than when I need to head to school for 8AM lessons. I have to be in by 7AM sometimes to do prep work. But I'm a light sleeper towards the day, so waking up is NEVER A PROBLEM (as long as my alarm is on) unless I'm overly fatigue or on drowsy medication.

Still in the midst of trying to rush something out for my Final Year Project, but being tied down by data entry isn't beneficial. Because, my school's supervisor (of my project) is pressing on seeing our report progress.

I think WORK ETHICS is very important. I will just list a few that are very basic yet very important.

1. Punctuality
- By hook or by crook, get your ass in the office before your reporting time.
- If you're late without official reasons, you'd better pay back the time.
eg. if you're late about 30 mins, you should end later than your usual time. Because it doesn't make any sense if you come in later than your colleagues & yet you leave earlier than them.

2. Napping is NOT OKAY during work time / Falling asleep.
- You can nap but please do so during your lunch time, not during work, cause obviously it isn't nice to let ppl see you napping away (although you were just doing it for 5mins). Or even during a conference or meeting, DO NOT FALL ASLEEP. If you have to slap yourself awake, please do so. Impression counts.

3. Respect your colleagues.
- Especially so if you're a greenhorn.

4. Do not abuse company's resources
- Work is work. Personal is personal. Get your personal stuff done elsewhere and not try to use company's resources for your own benefits.

& Something else which I'm unsure if it belongs to work ethics.. but I don't think so.

ATTIRE

- To always dress DECENTLY (no shorts, no sandals/slippers, no short skirts/dresses). I don't care if you have safety shorts or not, please don't wear them to work. Because you are representing your company. It's even more important if you are working for a reputable company. Don't tarnish their reputation.

My definition of short dresses are definitely those more than about 10cm above your knee? or barely covering your ASS. & of course, sit decently also if you are wearing a dress or your body isn't worth to be flaunt. Have confidence, but don't be overconfident.

P/s: Self-denial kills. Ask your conscience.
